We are on a rescue mission. God has assigned us to the important and urgent task of sharing the Good News. Why? Because it is through believing the Gospel that people are rescued from death and Hell.
The Gospel is not a sales-pitch. The Good News is not religious manipulation. The reality that our God loves and saves is a necessary message in our community and in our families.
One great way to share is by observing the needs of those around you and responding to them with the Gospel. Do you know someone who is lonely? Introduce them to the greatest Friend ever. Do you know someone who is feeling ashamed? Introduce them to the person who can give them a new start. Know someone who wants to do something that matters? Or who is desperate to find peace in the midst of life’s tough questions? God has the answers. Love these people by pointing them to the Gospel.
Here are six short videos that show how the Gospel meets specific needs. Feel free to use them as you share with with those around you. You might do that by sending them a video directly or by using the video to help you craft what you might say in your own words.
The Gospel doesn’t change, but the ways in which we share it can.
Understand the needs of the people around you and then give them the Gospel because it will meet those needs.
“God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” – 2 Corinthians 5:19-20
